Tim's night schedule has been working out well for all of us. He comes home around 8am and goes to bed around noon or 1pm and sleeps till 8:30pm. It seems to make my days go by faster somehow and it's nice to sleep through the entire time he's gone (well, it's not a solid sleep with a toddler around of course :). It almost seems like we're seeing more of him. Definitely isn't as hard as I thought it was going to be.
Last night we went for dinner over at Tim's Aunt Kim and Uncle Danny's (Vassar Electric & Havillah Road Printing owners) house. We were invited over by Tim's cousin Rich and his wife Erika who are living there temporarily since their move from Kansas. Remember me mentioning them before? They are the parent's of Macy, the little girl I babysat a couple days a few weeks ago. They are such fun people! Erika and I always have things to talk about. We had a great time and got to meet another young couple with a 2-1/2-old son whom Cedric loved. They played so hard. :)
Cedric has been making friends with a first grade girl named Olivia who lives next door. They interact over the wooden fence. She often throws pine cones (which he loves :) or, even better, baggies of crackers over to him. She finally asked to come over today and spent an hour over here playing. They seemed to really enjoy each other despite the age difference. She's a nice girl.
We are planning to have a garage sale on Memorial Day weekend. The profits are going to be entirely saved toward our first adoption. We've got a good stash of things to sell already, and Mom and Dad have contributed a lot. I'm hoping to do some extensive advertising for it. This will be our first garage sale and I'm really looking forward to it, especially since it should significantly increase our adoption savings. :)
Isn't this an intriguing picture? So much symbolism.... All good? Some bad?... Simply intriguing.

Lindy,
You find the most interesting pieces of artwork! Do you have a link where I can get a closer look at the detail?
Hi Lindy,
It is great that you and Tim have found other couples to spend time with; it is so important to have companionship with other who are going through the same things, at the same time. Your mom, Aunt Debbie and I shared this special bond and it was worth it's weight in gold! And not surprising, Cedric seems to be reaping the benefits too. You folks seem to be in a good and solid place...which is a wonderful place from which to launch the expansion of your family. Good luck with the garage sale (I wish I was there to partake! :-) Take care, Aunt Deanne
